I have a love for backyard weddings. I love how everyone just feels a little more relaxed and at-home, and I love seeing the pictures on the walls of the bride or groom growing up. I love that when the couple looks back on the pictures from their day, they will just add them to the shelves of other memories made in that same spot through the years. Lucas and Jennifer had a simple but lovely wedding one afternoon last May, and we were just there for a few hours. I thought it was perfect, just focusing on them becoming husband and wife and having their family around to celebrate with them. Everything was held at the groom's family's home, so they each got ready in separate bedrooms and the ceremony/reception were held outside by the pool. We took a few pictures before the ceremony, and once everyone got there they began. Jennifer walked out with her dad, and once she and Lucas started saying their vows it started raining a little. :) Just enough to give them some extra luck! The sun stayed out though, so the rain was glistening as it fell and it was beautiful.
Thank you guys so much for letting Jimmy and I be a part of your special day! We loved being a part of it!
(Susanne Marsidi of Magic Moments did a wonderful job, as always, with a few special touches in the decor and florals.)
