Daniel + Chelsea, Wedding

They met while playing softball in college back in 2010, and what started as a friendship built around this sport they loved, grew into something more over the years. Chelsea and Daniel didn't begin dating until 2016, but by then they were in a completely different place in life than they were back on the Skyhawks team. Now graduated, they were both passionate about their careers as teachers and coaches (at separate schools in neighboring counties), and were ready to put some roots down, together. Daniel surprised Chelsea with the sweetest proposal on the beach at a family vacation, getting down on one knee in the sand and even having strangers take pictures for them. :) And of course, she said yes!
I have only known this couple since last Fall, so there is a lot I don't know about them. However, when I looked around the cozy lodge during their reception, it was evident that these two have a big crowd cheering for them. There was always a line of people waiting to hug them, take a selfie with them, and congratulate them. I heard from more than one person how Chelsea and Daniel had impacted their lives or the lives of their children for the better-- children who had been taught or coached by the bride or groom. Throughout the day, you could tell that this couple was used to looking out for everyone around them, because they were always asking us how they could help or get us anything. I had to remind them that they didn't have to do anything for us-- this was their day! :) But it goes to show you how big their hearts are, and how they are always striving to serve those around them.

Thanks so much, Chelsea & Daniel, for letting us be a part of your special day! We hope you love your pictures!

Morgan + Andrew, Wedding

It was the perfect Fall day for a wedding. The trees were dressed in orange and red leaves, the air was crisp, and though it had threatened to rain, the sprinkles stayed away for Morgan and Andrew's day.
Some couples you meet you just know were meant to be together, and that is the case with these two. Maybe it is the way he makes her laugh, or the way she glances at him when he's not looking, maybe it's how at-ease they are around each other-- whatever the reason, when you see these two, even if you haven't known them long, it's obvious that they fit together like Autumn days and hot apple cider. :) I think everyone who came to that little church on a Friday night to see Morgan and Andrew become husband and wife knew this was a special thing not to be missed. They said I Do through happy tears surrounded by their closest friends and family, and celebrated the rest of the evening with lots of congratulations and warm well-wishes. It was the perfect Fall day that ended with lots of love, laughter, and a kiss under the stars.

Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your day, Morgan and Andrew! And special thanks to Nicka Smith for being my wonderful assistant/second photographer.

John + Katelyn, Wedding

They said I Do as the sun set behind the vineyard, under a big tree with friends and family seated all around. It had been a beautiful, breezy day with blue skies and sunshine, but now the wind died down to a whisper and the blue skies gave way to a warm glow, as if they knew the busyness was over and all that was left was to be quiet and watch the ceremony unfold. John had been adamant about not seeing his bride before this moment, before she walked down the row of vines to meet him. He knew it was to be special, and he knew it would be worth the wait. He wasn't wrong-- tears and smiles were on faces when he saw Katelyn, hand on her dad's arm, in her beautiful ivory dress, walking towards him. They clasped hands and read letters to each other, exchanged their rings, and bowed heads as the preacher prayed over them. When they were pronounced husband and wife, the minister said, "Kiss her already!" And John did just that, as the crowd clapped and cheered. They walked back down the row of vines, this time together. They danced the night away with their friends and family, and ended their special day with a kiss and a run through the golden sparklers. <3
