Rebecca + Chris, Wedding

This wedding was all about two band directors who fell in love, one from a small town and one from a "big city". Though we were told she turned him down the first time Chris asked Rebecca to be his girlfriend, it sounds like his charm and patience paid off just like a happily-ever-after movie. After dating for a bit, Chris planned an elaborate proposal (complete with a band, of course) and she delightedly said yes! (Apparently the video of his sweet proposal even went viral around the band community!) They said I Do in a beautiful church downtown Union City, with friends and family from all over the state who clapped and cheered when they were announced husband and wife. They walked back down the isle hand in hand, beaming with happiness.
When we were taking pictures after the ceremony, I asked Rebecca how she was feeling. She said it was surreal to think this day was finally here and that all she had dreamed of and planned for had come true. <3 From getting married in the church her family attends, to marrying the guy who was her best friend, to being surrounded by those they love... It was the perfect wedding day and a wonderful start to the next chapter in their story.

Rebecca & Chris, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your day! We had such a wonderful time being your photographers!

Jenny + Will, Wedding

We drove to Nashville for this classic church wedding, with beautiful stained glass shining behind the alter, and just Will and Jenny's closest family and friends waiting to be seated in the pews. I had talked with Jenny several times leading up to the day-- she was definitely one of our most organized brides, making lists and schedules down to the finest details, hoping that everything would go as planned. Now all the planning and preparation was put into practice; bouquets were delivered, boutonnieres pinned, and checklists were out. But there came a time where all those details seemed to fade away, and all that mattered was that -this- is the day, the day that this sweet couple becomes husband and wife. Those moments were sprinkled throughout for all those who were a part of it, but it was most realized when the doors to the ceremony opened and Jenny and her dad began to walk down the isle. Every eye turned to this lovely bride in her beautiful ivory dress, but a few turned back to Will, who was seeing his bride for the first time that day.  He smiled at first, and then fought back the happy tears. After her dad gave her away, Jenny clasped Will's hand and they walked up the steps of the alter and vowed to spend the rest of their lives together. The ceremony wasn't long, but it was beautiful, and after they sealed their vows with a kiss they walked back down the isle with happiness written all over their faces. Everything went according to schedule, but all the planning in the world will never prepare you for the magic in moments like these. It is breathtaking to witness such a special occasion. <3 It's the part of this job that never, ever gets old!

Congratulations Jenny & Will! We hope you love your pictures!

Narika + Japheth, Wedding

Butterflies were stirring as Narika got into her wedding gown, with the help of her sweet bridesmaids and her daughter Colee. It was almost time to see Japheth for the first time that day, and I could tell she was anxious! We walked outside to blue skies and a strong breeze, and he was standing there with his back to her. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see his bride. She was just as beautiful as he could imagine, and all the nerves faded as they smiled, hugged, and kissed in the May afternoon sunshine.
The ceremony took place later that day in Japheth's sister's front yard, and it felt so cozy, like you were at home with family. Everyone sat in rows of chairs planted beneath the trees as the wedding party made their way to the front, and the bride and groom repeated their vows. Colee and Cooper joined their mom and Japheth for the sand ceremony, blending the colors as love was sung beautifully over them. And as the bride and groom were declared husband and wife, there was no holding back-- they had quite a kiss! Even Cooper had to grin at that one. :)
Everyone went back to the barn to celebrate with much dancing and smiles all around, and we ended the night with a fun sparkler exit. It was a perfect ending to a beautiful day, and the start of something wonderful for Narika, Japheth, and their sweet family.

Congratulations you two! Jimmy and I wish you all the best! Thank you so much for letting us be your photographers. <3
