Butterflies were stirring as Narika got into her wedding gown, with the help of her sweet bridesmaids and her daughter Colee. It was almost time to see Japheth for the first time that day, and I could tell she was anxious! We walked outside to blue skies and a strong breeze, and he was standing there with his back to her. She tapped him on the shoulder and he turned around to see his bride. She was just as beautiful as he could imagine, and all the nerves faded as they smiled, hugged, and kissed in the May afternoon sunshine.
The ceremony took place later that day in Japheth's sister's front yard, and it felt so cozy, like you were at home with family. Everyone sat in rows of chairs planted beneath the trees as the wedding party made their way to the front, and the bride and groom repeated their vows. Colee and Cooper joined their mom and Japheth for the sand ceremony, blending the colors as love was sung beautifully over them. And as the bride and groom were declared husband and wife, there was no holding back-- they had quite a kiss! Even Cooper had to grin at that one. :)
Everyone went back to the barn to celebrate with much dancing and smiles all around, and we ended the night with a fun sparkler exit. It was a perfect ending to a beautiful day, and the start of something wonderful for Narika, Japheth, and their sweet family.
Congratulations you two! Jimmy and I wish you all the best! Thank you so much for letting us be your photographers. <3
