Taylor + Chad, Wedding

There comes a point at every wedding we photograph where everyone exhales the breath they have been holding, relaxes, and just enjoys the special day. At Taylor and Chad's wedding, like most, you could sense that almost as soon as you pulled up to the reception. The day had been lovely, a little cool for August, and though it kept threatening to rain on us it only sprinkled. We had actually run ahead of schedule, and the wedding party had been wonderful to work with. No complaints! :) The ceremony went perfectly and there were tears of happiness glistening in some eyes. But at the reception, that is when the jackets came off, the smiles grew bigger, and everyone began to celebrate this sweet couple who was now husband and wife.

The tents were set up outside Taylor's parents' home, with strings of lights hanging between the trees in the background. The DJ played music softly as the guests helped themselves to the food, complete with a beautiful display of donuts just begging to be eaten. :) And at any point you could see Taylor and Chad, arms around each other's waists, with family and friends gathered around to talk with and congratulate the couple. The little ones danced on the dance floor and chased each other around, and excitedly grabbed the tossed bouquet and garter towards the end of the night. The atmosphere was one of peaceful happiness and southern charm. To say goodbye, everyone lined up with glowing sparklers and cheered as they bid farewell to the new Mr. and Mrs., and Taylor and Chad began their new life together as husband and wife. I think everyone left that night with smiles on their faces and sweet love songs ringing in their ears.

Congratulations, Taylor and Chad, and thanks so much for letting us be a part of your special day!

Evan + Tanna, Downtown Church Wedding

At their wedding, Tanna and Evan acted less like the guests of honor, and more like hosts welcoming you in to a big celebration. Throughout their day they could be seen hugging family members and reuniting with old friends, and you could tell they were very loved by everyone who came. They didn't want a big to-do to be made about their day, they just wanted a simple, beautiful celebration of the beginning of their marriage. This day was about love, family, and sweet commitments.
Tanna and Evan got married in Gleason, Tennessee, at a big beautiful church. We came prepared with umbrellas because the forecast called for rain, but thankfully the rain held off just long enough for us to take the wedding party downtown for some pictures. :) They were such a wonderful group to work with, laughing and being silly in between photos, acting just like family and old friends should. Cars would drive by and people would honk and wave, shouting congratulations and treating them like celebrities. Small town, Southern charm!
At the end of the day, after the I Do's and reception, their guests lined up outside the fellowship hall and the bride and groom ran through as everyone cheered and waved colorful ribbons. Tanna wrote later, looking at the picture you'll see towards the end, "What many people might not have realized was that I was tearing up while walking out. I was overwhelmed with the love I felt." I'm so glad she was able to feel the love we had seen all day long, between her and her groom, and also between them, their family, and friends who were gathered to celebrate and cheer them on in this next chapter in life. What a beautiful ending to a lovely day!

Thank you so much Tanna and Evan for letting us be your photographers! We had such a wonderful time working with you!

Tanner + Brooke, A Country Barn Wedding

If someone wrote a country song about Brooke and Tanner's wedding day it would have to include a cute white barn, blue skies, cowboy boots, an old black pickup truck, and a funny little line about a missing groomsman. :) It would be a sweet song about family, childhood friends and small towns, and about two high school sweethearts saying I Do. About Papa officiating the wedding, and kissing the bride on the cheek before he announced the couple husband and wife. And finally, about everyone dancing the night away under a blanket of stars as they celebrated such a sweet, sweet love worth singing about.
Brooke and Tanner, thank you so much for letting us be a part of your lovely wedding day! We hope you love your pictures!
