Susan + Jeremy, Wedding

Our last wedding of 2014! Susan and Jeremy were so sweet, and their wedding was beautiful. Decorated in blues, whites, and silvers, it reminded me of an icy winter morning. It rained and rained the day of their wedding, so we weren't able to take a lot of pictures outside, but we still got some beautiful pictures of them around the church. :) One of the things I loved most about their day was during the ceremony when they invited their family to pray with them. They are both very close to their parents and siblings, so having them pray with and for them felt so natural, and was a beautiful thing to witness. Thanks so much, Susan and Jeremy, for letting us be a part of your day! We hope it was everything you wanted it to be!

Emily + Martin, Wedding

Emily and Martin were super easy-going and fun to work with. We were there for about four hours capturing their wedding last December, and the story of their day was beautiful. I love that they wanted to keep things simple, with a smaller bridal party and mainly using the church's lovely Christmas decorations that were up for the holidays. Everything had an understated elegance to it, which was perfect for this couple. Surrounded by just their family and closest friend, they said I Do and celebrated their first day as husband and wife. When I started preparing this wedding for the blog, I picked out my favorite pictures and kept thinking how great a lot of them would look in black in white. So I decided to just do a completely black and white blog post, which I think went very well with Martin and Emily's classic wedding. :) Don't worry, I delivered the color photos to them and this was all done digitally.

Emily's hair and makeup were done by Jessica Duck from Styles on Broadway Salon & Spa, and their ceremony and reception were held at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Dyersburg, TN.

Beth Ann + Logan, Wedding

Beth Ann and Logan were married last December, and had a beautiful winter-themed wedding. Lots of candles, pine cones, red and white roses, and greenery were used to decorate the ceremony and reception, and everything felt both cozy and elegant. It was cold (as it should be that time of year!) but we were very thankful the wedding party stuck with us and let us take some pictures Downtown Martin. :) We worked as quickly as we could so everyone could get back to the heated church!I loved the ceremony for Beth Ann and Logan, because the officiant told short stories of how the two had met and things they loved about each other, memories that made everyone laugh and tear up a little because they were so sweet. He had asked both of them to write down what they liked best about the other person, habits they weren't so fond of, and things they were excited about for the future, and read them aloud for the other to hear for the first time. It was hard for me to remember to take pictures sometimes, because I would get a bit caught up in the answers. :)

Beth Ann and Logan, I hope you guys have had a wonderful marriage so far! Thanks so much for letting us be a part of your wedding day.
