Catch-Up Post #5!
I don’t do a ton of maternity sessions, but I really love them. When I was pregnant with James I used a tripod and a remote trigger to take my own pictures in our home, which I don’t necessarily recommend to any other pregnant mommas out there. 😅 It probably would have been humorous to see that whole process go down with my 3rd trimester belly! But I’m so glad I got those pictures because that time was oh so special. I’ll never forget what a gift it was!
Kristin and Chance welcomed a baby boy into their world last year, but before they did I happily got them in for this sweet maternity session. :) We scheduled it for early evening to give us a little bit of relief from that hot summertime weather, and got the added bonus of beautiful lighting to work with from start to finish. In between taking photos, we talked about pregnancy and all things baby. I had not officially announced to the world that we were expecting yet, but whispered the news to them (as if someone else could hear, ha!) and we discussed morning sickness and cravings and baby names as we walked around. They were just precious, glowing with that expectant parent excitement, and it was evident even then that they would be wonderful parents for their baby boy. He made his arrival a little over a month later, healthy and very much loved by his mom and dad!
The crimson clover was blooming at just the right time for this session! I’m so glad we were able to take advantage of this beautiful scenery before it was gone, and what better way to utilize it than with a precious maternity session?
Amberly and Jamie welcomed baby Jensen into their world this Summer, but before he made his arrival we were able to capture these lovely pictures of Amberly’s sweet baby bump. Pregnancy is such a special time, and it is always a joy to see couples become parents.
