Couples

Kinsey + Colby, Engagement

Kinsey was one of my senior clients a few years ago, and I am so excited to be photographing her wedding in less than a month! She seems to have found a great fiancé in Colby, and from the way they smile at each other it is obvious they are a happy couple. :)
Kinsey and Colby are renovating a home together, starting from the studs and working from the inside out to make it their own. We did the first half of their session around their property, which was lovely for the pictures, and then finished up at Colby’s family’s place. I love that we were able to incorporate locations that represent past memories and their future together. Such a beautiful metaphor for these two as they become husband and wife soon!

Congratulations you two! Can’t wait for the big day!

Addey + AJ, Engagement Session

I do sessions at my clients’ homes pretty regularly, but it’s not often they live right on the lake like Addey and AJ. We had a beautiful, hot day for their engagement session, and the blue skies reflecting on the water made it look extra inviting— I think we were all wishing we could jump in by the end, though it probably wouldn’t have cooled us off as much as we’d have liked! :) These two did great in spite of the southern summertime weather, and we got some sweet pictures for them as we walked around. Tomorrow they will say I Do in their lovely backyard, so they will get to make many more special memories here to start off their life together as husband and wife! I’m so excited to work with these two again, and I just know it will be a beautiful, beautiful day to be a part of.

Congratulations Addey & AJ! We’ll see you two tomorrow!

Carmen + Landon, Engagement Session

When Carmen asked me about taking some engagement photos for her at her tiny house, I excitedly said YES! I love in-home lifestyle sessions, and the fact that this was a tiny home just made it even better.

The day of the session arrived and we had some beautiful sunshine to give us that gorgeous natural light inside and out. We got some sweet photos of Carmen and Landon inside the home cuddling with their adorable pup Molly and drinking some hot chocolate, and it was fun getting the grand tour and seeing all the creative solutions for living in this small space. I felt like I was in an episode on HGTV! haha

We ended the session at another location where we used the antique white barn and the lovely scenery that was just starting to bud and bloom with the Spring weather. These two had warned me they were awkward in front of the camera, but they were so great to work with and really were naturals! We got some sweet, sweet photos and I left the session with a smile on my face. It was a good day. :)

Congratulations you two!
