Engagements

Carmen + Landon, Engagement Session

When Carmen asked me about taking some engagement photos for her at her tiny house, I excitedly said YES! I love in-home lifestyle sessions, and the fact that this was a tiny home just made it even better.

The day of the session arrived and we had some beautiful sunshine to give us that gorgeous natural light inside and out. We got some sweet photos of Carmen and Landon inside the home cuddling with their adorable pup Molly and drinking some hot chocolate, and it was fun getting the grand tour and seeing all the creative solutions for living in this small space. I felt like I was in an episode on HGTV! haha

We ended the session at another location where we used the antique white barn and the lovely scenery that was just starting to bud and bloom with the Spring weather. These two had warned me they were awkward in front of the camera, but they were so great to work with and really were naturals! We got some sweet, sweet photos and I left the session with a smile on my face. It was a good day. :)

Congratulations you two!

Hannah + Sam, Engagement

Hannah and Sam are just so precious together! They made taking pictures of them a breeze, and so much fun. Though we had a cold, windy afternoon for their session, they both had smiles on their faces and didn’t seem to mind the weather. I told them I was pretty sure they’d have a warmer day for their wedding this September. :)

As we drove between the locations, I had them retell the story of how Sam proposed to Hannah. I won’t go into all the tiny details because I’m sure to mess something up, but it involved sneakily getting both of their families to Knoxville, asking Hannah’s professors at her college in Georgia to let her out of class early so she could make it there, and hiring videographers to shoot a video of him talking about his love for her and ultimately proposing, which they played in Market Square right before movie night for all to see— including Hannah, who was completely unsuspecting. The crowd cheered as he knelt on stage and gave Hannah the ring he had specially made for her. Oh, and he hired videographers for that, too, and the proposal video has had thousands of views. :) My description doesn't even do it justice, but suffice it to say, it was an amazing story and the love between these two is beautiful and strong.

Congratulations on your engagement, Hannah and Sam! We are so excited to be your photographers for your special day!

Paige + Trevor, Engagement Session at Westfalia Farms

Westfalia Farms is a wedding venue in Paris, TN, and they hosted an engagement session giveaway and kindly invited me to be a part of it! One couple would be randomly chosen from their social media post, and the lucky winners happened to be Paige and Trevor, one of our wedding couples for 2020. :) I was so excited when they won, because these two are just so sweet and fun to work with!

We scheduled a wintertime engagement session at Westfalia Farms in December, and though it was cloudy that day (as is typical that time of year) we were fortunate the rain stayed away and it actually wasn’t freezing outside. We had a lovely time exploring all the lovely areas on the farm, from the ponds and the docks to the golden fields and patches of evergreen trees. It was perfect for a wintertime theme!

A big thank you to Westfalia Farms for including me in this giveaway! If you want to check out their venue, you may find them here: http://www.westfaliafarms.com

Also, if you’d like to see more pictures of their venue and what they have to offer, you can check out some branding images I did for them here: http://www.abreacrackel.com/acpblog/2018/8/15/west-falia-farms-wedding-corporate-retreat-venue
